Home Builder Sales and Marketing, LLC was originally founded by Marvin Hoiseth in 1975 under the well known name - Home Builders Marketing Services. In 2009, Mark, a 24 year experienced Realtor and new homes sales professional, came on as the VP of Sales and Marketing. Since Marvin’s passing in 2016, Mark proudly continues in his father’s legacy providing the best in hands-on new home sales strategies. Now at the helm as President, he oversees all builder/developer client services, on-site sales professionals, marketing firms and client relations. Whether building new homes from the ground up or buying fractured REO new home communities, he works diligently with builders/developers locating the future model home, assisting in designing marketing materials, websites, hiring sales staff, tracking the escrow process and working toward the closing of each and every home. Never afraid to mix and change things up, Mark comes to the table with new fresh ideas in marketing, social media and "out of the box" ideas to reach today's home buyer.

In addition, Mark oversees the day to day operations of new developments that will achieve the most successful results for clients. As every property is different, he assists in developing a marketing strategy for each property from initial pricing to the closing of the last sale. This includes hiring sales professionals, designing marketing and promotional pieces, model home design and set up, weekly sales meetings and reports and monitoring buyer tendencies and objections.  From the very first sale, he will work closely with the on-site lender and escrow companies keeping everyone informed of each and every sale.  His experienced, professional sales team will keep an eye on the pulse of the market and make necessary changes to maintaining successful sales and help achieve goals.

Mark’s resume includes over 24 years of residential sales experience including new construction, land acquisition, marketing techniques and condominium sales. Since 1993, Mark has been ranked in the top 10% of all Coldwell Banker agents nationwide, won numerous awards, served as a Director for the local Realtor Association board, chaired the Grievance and Ethics Committees and volunteered on several charitable committees.

Mark is actively involved in the S.D. BIA, NAHB and the Sales & Marketing Council.
